Plain Beauty is a WordPress theme designed by Peter Pollock of Day3.
Starting out as an attempt to build a theme for his own personal website (peterpollock.com), Plain-Beauty morphed into a base theme that Peter now uses to build most of his websites.
In it’s latest incarnation (version 1.0), Plain-Beauty now incorporates WordPress Custom Headers, drop-down Child Menu items either natively or using jQuery, multiple widget areas and the facility for multiple different sidebars and all the usual bells and whistles, along with very fast page load times and great native SEO.
